The International Master in Children’s Literature, Media and Culture

On 17th January 2019 the Rector of the University of Wrocław, Prof. Adam Jezierski, signed a consortium agreement concerning the European Union-funded programme The International Master in Children’s Literature, Media and Culture (CLMC)

The other members of the consortium are the University of Glasgow (the UK) – the coordinator of the whole project, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (Spain), Tilburg University (the Netherlands) and Aarhus University (Denmark). The University of British Columbia (Canada), also a partner, will organize summer schools. 

The University of Wrocław is represented by the Institute of English Studies, which, since the academic year 2020/2021, will offer the students participating in the programme the following courses:

“Representations of children and childhood in film” 

“Children’s film”

“Conceptualizations of childhood in participatory culture”

Classes will be taught by members of The Centre for Research on Children’s and Young Adult Literature: Dr. Justyna Deszcz-Tryhubczak (IFA, coordinator of the programme at the University of Wroclaw), Dr. Agata Zarzycka (IFA) and Dr. Mateusz Świetlicki (IFA and IFS), supported by Dr. Katarzyna Biernacka-Licznar (ISKŚiO), Dr. Elżbieta Jamróz-Storlarska (IINiB), Dr. Irena Barbara Kalla (KFN) and Dr. Natalia Paprocka (IFR).
