Today’s meeting of the Faculty of Letter’s Council was particularly important for our Centre for two significant reasons.
First, it was officially announced that Bogumiła Staniów, our colleague and member of the Programme Advisory Board, had been conferred the professor title by the President of the Republic of Poland! We warmly congratulate Bogumiła, who is the Centre’s first full professor (professor ordinarius)!
Second, Justyna Deszcz-Tryhubczak, another colleague and member of the Programme Advisory Board, was promoted to associate professor (professor extraordinarius) in the Department of English and Comparative Studies at the Institute of English Studies. We are still waiting for the decision of the Senate of the University of Wrocław, but we are already thrilled!
Third, Barbara Irena Kalla, the coordinator of our Centre, was officially promoted to associate professor (professor extraordinarius) on June 1, 2020!
