The First Polish Translation Studies Congress, 19-21 May 2022

On 19-21 May 2022, the First Congress of Polish Translation Studies was held in Kraków, Poland. It aimed to integrate the Polish translation studies community. During the congress, the Centre for Research on Children’s and Young Adult Literature was represented by its members: Katarzyna Biernacka-Licznar, Natalia Paprocka, Bogumiła Staniów, Agnieszka Wandel, and Monika Woźniak.

The presentations by the members of the Centre took place within the framework of a panel entitled “Translation of Children’s Literature: History, Contemporaneity, and Perspectives for Development,” which – together with Michał Borodo (Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz)- was moderated by Monika Woźniak (Sapienza Università di Roma), a member of the Scientific Council of our Centre.

Below are commemorative photos, a brief description of the panel, and the topics and abstracts of our members’ presentations (in Polish).
