Assembling Common Worlds, 10-12 June 2022

Assembling Common Worlds: An Interdisciplinary Conference on the Environment and Young People’s Literature and Culture, postponed because of COVID, is taking place this weekend, 10-12 June 2022, in hybrid format, at Vancouver Island University. 

Keynote speakers are Justyna Deszcz-Tryhubczak (University of Wroclaw; our Centre), “Finding Hope? Researching Children’s Literature and Culture in 2022”; Affrica Taylor (Canberra University), “Roos and Rabbits: Responding to Extinctions in Settler Colonized Lands”; and Amanda Wager (Vancouver Island University), “Land as Literacy: Young People Practicing Culturally Sustaining Land-Based Virtual Pedagogy.”
